Disclosure Project — National Press Club (2001)

On May 9, 2001, Dr. Steven Greer organized a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. featuring over 20 military, intelligence, and government witnesses who testified about their direct knowledge of UAP and government cover-ups. Witnesses included FAA Division Chief John Callahan (who described the JAL 1628 CIA coverup), US Army Sergeant Clifford Stone (who claimed to have cataloged 57 species), and numerous military radar operators, pilots, and base commanders. The event was one of the largest media gatherings at the Press Club at the time. Greer called for congressional hearings and open hearings under oath — which wouldn't happen for another 22 years until the 2023 congressional hearing. The Disclosure Project demonstrated that credible military and government witnesses were willing to testify publicly about UAP — two decades before the modern disclosure movement made it mainstream.
