JAL Flight 1628 — FAA Radar Data & Callahan Testimony

FAA Division Chief John Callahan preserved radar data and audio recordings from JAL Flight 1628 over Alaska when ordered to destroy them. The data shows a massive object (estimated walnut-shaped, larger than two aircraft carriers) tracking the 747 for 31 minutes. Callahan testified that the CIA confiscated the evidence and told attendees the event 'never happened.' He preserved duplicate copies and testified at the 2001 Disclosure Project.

Japan Airlines Flight 1628 — Full FAA Audio and Radar

JAL 747 cargo flight over Alaska encountered a walnut-shaped object the size of two aircraft carriers. Captain Kenju Terauchi, a veteran pilot with 10,000+ hours, reported the object on radio while FAA and military radar simultaneously tracked it. FAA Division Chief John Callahan later testified at the 2001 Disclosure Project that CIA agents confiscated the radar data and told all involved 'this event never happened.' Callahan kept copies. The incident is one of the most well-documented pilot encounters with simultaneous radar confirmation and government cover-up evidence.
