Betty & Barney Hill Abduction (1961)

Betty and Barney Hill reported being taken aboard a craft while driving through the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Under separate hypnosis sessions by Dr. Benjamin Simon, both independently described consistent details of being examined by non-human beings. Betty drew a star map under hypnosis that astronomer Marjorie Fish later matched to the Zeta Reticuli system — a match that was impossible to fake with 1960s star catalogs. The case was the first widely publicized alien abduction and established the abduction phenomenon template. The Hills were a respected interracial couple with no financial motive.
