John Keel
Author / Journalist / Fortean Researcher
Investigative journalist and author who documented the 1966-67 Point Pleasant, West Virginia phenomena — a wave of UAP sightings, Men in Black encounters, and sightings of a winged creature called the Mothman, culminating in the collapse of the Silver Bridge on December 15, 1967, killing 46 people. His book 'The Mothman Prophecies' (1975) became a film in 2002. Keel was one of the first researchers to propose that UAP are not extraterrestrial spacecraft but represent a phenomenon connected to Earth itself — potentially interdimensional beings that have interacted with humanity throughout history, adapting their appearance to match cultural expectations. He coined the term 'ultraterrestrials.' His documentation of MIB encounters across hundreds of cases established the phenomenon as a real pattern of witness intimidation. Author of 'UFOs: Operation Trojan Horse' and 'The Eighth Tower.' Died July 3, 2009.
