Mosul Metallic Orb (2016)
A CIA reconnaissance aircraft captured footage of a silver metallic sphere moving rapidly over Mosul, Iraq. The video was released in 2024 via FOIA lawsuit by Liberation Times. AARO Director Sean Kirkpatrick stated metallic spheres account for 52% of all reported UAP — making them the single most common type observed worldwide. The orbs range from 1-4 feet in diameter, exhibit no visible propulsion, appear across all domains (air, sea, space), and have been tracked on radar, infrared, and electro-optical sensors simultaneously. Their sheer prevalence across decades of reports — military, civilian, international — makes them the backbone of the UAP phenomenon.
